Launch marks Swizzels' move into bon bons

UK confectioner Swizzels has launched bon bon versions of its Drumstick and Refresher sweets.

Citing Nielsen data for the year to 23 May, Swizzels claimed the bon bon category was "one of the fastest growing sectors within kids sugar confectionery" in the UK, with sales by value up 26%.

Sarah-Louise Heslop, marketing manager at Swizzels added: "This is the first time we’ve launched bon bons and they’re the perfect addition to our range. Bon Bons are a classic sweet, loved by children and adults alike."

The bon bons are available in 150g standard bags and GBP1 (US$1.56) price marked packs.
