Tesco Malaysia has not received information from its UK parent Tesco regarding any plan to acquire Royal Ahold's Tops supermarket chain in Malaysia, according to a Tesco Malaysia official. Tesco Malaysia is "doing business as usual. There is no communication from the UK that they are interested in buying Tops," the official told Dow Jones Newswires.
