US group Trailblazer Foods has secured a contract to supply Supervalu with own-label lines supplied from a new range of organic coconut-based products.

Trailblazer has developed a line of food including oil, milk, flour, sugar and unsweetened flakes.

The company said it would supply Supervalu with products to be sold under the retailer's Wild Harvest brand in 626 stores around the US.

"There is a strong and growing demand in the US for better-for-you foods and coconut fits in with this trend: it’s a clean ingredient, natural and organic, and with no added sugar," Trailblazer CEO Rob Miller said.

Trailblazer is also marketing the products under its namesake brand. Coconut milk will be added to the range in September.
