Geoffrey Finlay will join the board of directors of Transora, the largest global B2B eMarketplace for the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.

The move is still subject to shareholder approval, but other executives at Transora are confident that Finlay's appointment will be welcomed. Transora CEO Judy Sprieser commented in a statement: "Geoffrey Finlay brings a combination of supply chain expertise and a track record of building a highly successful technology business. His guidance will be of tremendous value to Transora's board of directors, particularly now that our services are live in the global marketplace."

As CEO of Kewill Systems, a leading UK-based supplier of B2B electronic commerce supply chain management solutions, Finlay has gained expert knowledge connecting suppliers and retailers over the Internet. Kewill specialized in e-Fulfillment and worked with large corporations and government agencies. Prior to this, Finlay built up over 20 years of management experience for software companies and worked as Managing Director of International Operations at JDA Software.

As well as Sprieser, the Transora board also incorporates six CPG industry executives. Finlay is the second appointment without a specific background in the CPG industry; Naomi Seligman joined last November, bringing expertise in e-Business.
