German discount retailer Lidl has come under pressure from German union Ver.di to publish its accounts.
The services sector union says it has hired a lawyer to push for a court order to force Lidl to present the relevant documents, reported the Financial Times Deutschland.
The union said it is dissatisfied with employment conditions at Lidl and wants the company to publish its accounts. Family-owned Lidl does not publish annual reports, which some believe is an attempt to avoid comparison with rival Aldi.
