Israeli supermarket company Blue Square-Israel has announced that Avi Belfer is to leave the company, effective 24 September.

Belfer, who has worked for Blue Square for the last 27 years, most recently held the position of head of the planning and maintenance division. Blue Square said Belfer had made a significant contribution to the company during his employment there.
Blue Square-Israel currently operates 165 supermarkets under different formats.
