Pinnacle said last month current CEO Bob Gamgort would leave the company at the end of April to become CEO post at Keurig Green Mountain.

Between Gamgort’s departure and Clouse’s approval, Pinnacle CFO Craig Steeneck is to act as CEO on an interim basis.

At Mondelez, Clouse oversees commercial execution at the Oreo maker, as well as the global sales function at the snacks giant. Clouse took the role last autumn, moving from his previous position as Mondelez’s chief growth officer.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mark to Pinnacle as our new CEO,” said Pinnacle chairman Roger Deromedi. “Mark’s strong operating background and proven track record of success, combined with his broad experience in both the North American market and more entrepreneurial developing market businesses, make him the ideal candidate to lead Pinnacle and drive the continued success of our business model and strategy.”
