The agreements were awarded based on a public competitive bid process and the member input of two national health care alliances, VHA Inc and University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC).
Nancy Skodack, Novation director of support services, commented: “These food agreements provide VHA and UHC members with significant new value through competitive pricing and value beyond price as demonstrated by these quality companies.
“Through our contracting process that includes both financial and quality criteria, members chose these companies due to substantial member acceptance, market leadership, product technology and responsive service.”
