Danish Crown has announced it is to axe 121 jobs at a Tulip site in the UK.
Tulip’s Bromborough production site has entered into a period of collective consultation the group announced.

The move follows an announcement last October that Tulip had been “unsuccessful in its bid to retain and grow some of its business at the Bromborough site following a recent supplier review with one of its customers”.
The site produces fresh sausages for retail and UK foodservice customers.
Tulip’s current contract with the customer ends in May after which it will see a phased reduction in production that equates to almost half of total production at Bromborough.
While the group said it “aimed to keep potential job losses to a minimum”, 121 people have been identified as being at risk of redundancy.
