Danone’s US organic business Stonyfield Organic has announced the launch of three yogurt products made using whole milk.

The company is rolling out 100% Grassfed whole milk yoghurt in vanilla, strawberry, blueberry and plain flavours. Stonyfield is using milk from Maple Hill Creamery.

It is also launching a Stonyfield Organic Greek whole milk line, which will be available in plain, strawberry, vanilla, blueberry, honey and cherry varieties. Danone also plans to offer Stonyfield pouches in a whole milk option, with four flavours – pear spinach mango, strawberry beet berry, vanilla and blueberry.

The new products will be available in grocery and drug stores throughout the US, the company revealed.

“During Stonyfield’s first years, plain, simple, whole-milk yoghurt was all that we made. In the Nineties, diet fads led consumers to fear fat,” said Ana Milicevic, brand manager at Stonyfield. “But that simply wasn’t the whole story. Since whole milk provides a wealth of benefits – and tastes great – we’re excited to satisfy an increased demand and return to our roots.”
