A new production line will be installed to manufacture Ferrero’s Kinder Surprise chocolates. At present, the factory already produces Kinder Surprise, as well as Kinder Schoko-Bons and Raffaello, exporting to 45 countries.
According to plant manager Fabrizio Secco, the addition of the new line will see capacity increase by 250,000 eggs per day. The new line will be operational next year.
The site employs 700 staff.
Ferrero has revealed a spate of investment at its global sites in recent months. Last October, the firm confirmed it was ramping up production at a site in India. It also said it was adding up to 700 jobs at a manufacturing site in Hangzhou, south-eastern China.
