Bonduelle has launched a line of bagged salads in Italy the company says can be paired with specific foods.

The group recommends each product with meat, fish and cheese. The salads – sold under the La Carta delle Insalate sub-brand – also contain raw vegetables.

“The whole concept behind Carta delle Insalate has been built with the help of consumers and comes from the need for inspiration to enhance their salads; the
suggestions given on pack help going from an ordinary side-dish to the lead character of their meals,” Bonduelle said.

Yesterday, Bonduelle set out plans to shut at a canned vegetables plant in France as the company adapts to what it called a “price war” in the European market.
