US meat processor Tyson Foods has announced that it has named Alberto Gonzalez-Pita as the company’s executive vice president and general counsel.

Gonzalez-Pita will serve, effective 1 October, as Tyson’s chief legal officer overseeing all legal matters involving the company.
Gonzalez-Pita joins Tyson Foods from BellSouth Corporation in Atlanta where, as a board elected officer, he served as general counsel of BellSouth International and more recently vice president-international legal, regulatory and external affairs.
