“Not only is Charlotte my favourite city, it’s a great fit for Chobani,” said Kyle O’Brien, executive VP of sales for Chobani Global Holdings. “It’s home to talented people as well as amazing networking opportunities and cultural amenities.”

Chobani announced plans open a second manufacturing plant in the US, creating 400 jobs, in November. The US$100m production facility will be located in Twin Falls, Idaho and is expected to be operational this year.

Chobani currently dominates the US Greek yoghurt market with around a 60% share. Danone holds second place with 17%, followed by Greece-based Fage, and Yoplait owner General Mills.
