Italy’s Biofata has said the organic foods facility it is building will be the largest organic food production plant in the country.

Work began this week on the Biofata facility, which is being built in Lamezia Terme, in the southern region of Calabria.


The company is investing €80m (US$96.1m) in the plant, which will specialise in fruit and vegetable processing and dairy food production for the domestic and foreign markets, reported ANSA.
