US consumer goods group Procter & Gamble today (18 September) moved to confirm its sales and earnings guidance for the first quarter of its financial year.

P&G, which owns snack brand Pringles, said sales for the three months to the end of September should rise by 6-8%.
The company added that it expects diluted earnings per share to reach US$0.88 to $0.90.
