US food distributor Nash Finch has clarified its earnings guidance for 2004, saying it is still comfortable with its estimate of US$2.94 to $3.00 per share, excluding certain items.

The estimate reflects the company’s belief that its net earnings for fiscal 2004 will range between $9.3m and $10.1m, or between $0.74 and $0.80 per share. The company expects total adjustments of $28.0m, or $2.20 per share, related to store disposals and other factors.


Nash Finch, which had revenues of nearly $4bn in fiscal year 2003, operates a food distribution business and a number of retail stores.
