Recent research from Greece found that eating dark chocolate may help improve the flow of blood around the body, preventing the formation of potentially harmful clots; dark chocolate is also believed to contain heart-healthy antioxidants.


The insurance company wrote to its clients to advise that plain chocolate, in moderation, is good for the heart, reported Ananova. However, the company also warned against eating too much chocolate, which could lead to obesity and therefore an increased risk of heart disease.
