US food producer and marketer Aurora Foods has announced that it has emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and completed its previously announced merger with Pinnacle Foods.

The reorganised company has been renamed Pinnacle Foods Group and is headquartered in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Its brands include Duncan Hines baking mixes, Mrs. Butterworth’s syrups, Lender’s bagels, Aunt Jemima frozen breakfast products, Celeste frozen pizza and Open Pit barbecue sauces.

“The successful emergence from Chapter 11 after less than four months and the merger with Pinnacle Foods represent the final steps in Aurora’s financial restructuring,” said Dale F. Morrison, Aurora’s outgoing chairman and interim chief executive officer.
