US ice cream maker Edy’s Grand Ice Cream is voluntarily recalling 14,000 cartons of Toffee Bar Crunch ice cream and Peanut Butter Cup ice cream as it may contain peanuts not listed on the label.

The recalled cartons are the 1.75 quart size and have either of the following two codes: 18-1644 11 27 6B or 18-1644 11 27 6D. The ice cream was distributed in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, the company said.


“People with a peanut allergy or sensitivity to peanuts should not consume the ice cream and should immediately dispose of the product,” Edy’s said.


The company said no consumers have reported any allergic reaction to the products and Edy’s is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to investigate the incident.
