Ice cream maker Ben & Jerry’s, a subsidiary of Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant Unilever, is to launch a new on-the-go ice cream snack.

The new product, called ‘Wich, is made up of a layer of premium vanilla fudge chip ice cream sandwiched between two American-style fudge-swirled chocolate chunk cookies.

The product will be sold with the company’s existing impulse line of six 100ml tub flavours in theatres, cinemas and other independent retail outlets.
