US pickle and jam maker M.A. Gedney has filed its plan to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection with its entire workforce intact and repaying nearly all of its secured and unsecured creditors.

Gedney, which filed for bankruptcy in October, will continue to produce its food products, including pickles and other condiments, under the Gedney, Max’s deli, State Fair and Cains brands.


The bankruptcy filing had been attributed to debt load from the company’s 2000 acquisition of Massachusetts-based condiment maker Cains, reported the Associated Press.
