Valette succeeds Christopher Mottern, who retired on 1 January. Valette is an independent consultant to a number of food and drinks companies and has been a member of the board at Peet’s since 2001.
The change will also reduce the size of the company’s board to six members from seven, reported Dow Jones Business News.
