UK supermarket chain Asda has said it will create 4,300 new jobs in the UK this year as part of a £400m (US$705.4m) investment programme.

Asda, which is owned by US retail titan Wal-Mart, plans to open new stores in Dorset, Somerset, London and Merseyside, as well as carrying out extensions to 21 existing stores across the country, reported Reuters.
The UK’s second-largest grocery retailer also plans to open two new high street stores which will sell its own-brand George clothing.
