UK retailer Marks & Spencer has announced that it has voluntarily withdrawn batches of its own brand Strawberry & Almond Crunch breakfast cereal, because a a packing error had resulted in incorrect labelling information.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a Food Alert for Information.
“This product is being withdrawn because the word ‘milk’ has been omitted from the allergy advice box on the packet, making the product potentially unsafe for people who have a milk allergy,” the retailer said, adding that no other products were affected by the error.
The precise product details are Marks & Spencer Strawberry & Almond Crunch, UPC Code 0001243. The company said it had also been in contact with the Anaphylaxis Campaign and Allergy UK who will inform their at-risk allergic members of the withdrawal.
