The family-owned Aunt Millie’s Bakeries has launched “Fiber and Flavor” potato bread, which has fewer calories and fibre than traditional white bread.

The new product is an expansion of the Healthy Goodness line.

Rod Radalia, director of technical services at Aunt Millie’s, said: “Our ‘Fiber and Flavor’ potato bread is soft and tasty, like white bread, but delivers enhanced nutrition with Hi-maize resistant starch. It has ten fewer calories than the potato bread it replaces, is a good source of dietary fibre, a good source of calcium and contains zero grams of trans fat per serving.”
