Its scientists have found that participants consuming an average of three servings of oily fish per week, or 180 milligrams daily of omega-3 fatty acid, had significantly reduced risk of developing dementia including Alzheimer’s.


All of the participants were found to be free of dementia at the beginning of the nine-year study. Those who were in the top quarter for fish consumption had half the incidence of dementia than those in any of the other three quarters.
