HoneyBaked Foods is recalling HoneyBaked Hams and Sliced & Glazed Turkeys purchased between 5 September and 13 November 2006, due to a Listeria threat.

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) said that it is recalling approximately 46,941 pounds of the cooked ham and turkey products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.


The meats were sold at its retail location at 6145 Merger Drive in Toledo and at three kiosks in Toledo, Maumee and Woodville, Ohio.


The recall also applies to HoneyBaked Foods Hams and Sliced & Glazed Turkeys delivered to catalogue customers from its Holland, Ohio, production and distribution facility. 


The company, based in Toledo Ohio, said it is reaching its customers who may have purchased these limited products in the four Toledo area retail locations in stores, on-line and via local media.

Verification can be determined by the label code on the bottom right of the product label – Ham codes include 6261 to 6310 and Sliced and Glazed Turkey Breast Codes include 6248 to 6258, HoneyBaked said. 


Customers can receive a full refund, and HoneyBaked Foods will make arrangements to pick up any unused portion of the product, it added.
