The Food Products Association has announced that Kathy Wybourn has been named Director, SAFE Operations. The SAFE (Supplier Audits for Food Excellence) program allows suppliers to satisfy multiple customers with a standardized audit carried out by SAFE-certified, third party auditors.

“Kathy’s knowledge of the SAFE product and auditing experience will be very valuable to us as we work to improve the product and expand its acceptance worldwide,” said Cal Dooley, FPA’s president and CEO.
Wybourn, who is a certified SAFE auditor, comes to FPA-SAFE with more than 15 years of food industry experience. She most recently worked at RQA, one of the SAFE audit companies, where she served as manager of field operations and auditing services.
