More than 3m bars were recalled on 1 July after the company received threatening letters claiming seven bars had been contaminated in Sydney.
MasterFoods regional president Andy Weston-Webb said today (Monday) that most stock in NSW had been returned.
The company’s factory at Ballarat, in Victoria, would soon boost production for NSW retail outlets – but no date has been set for the restock.
“MasterFoods is now looking to build up inventories of fresh stock ahead of a return to the NSW retail shelves,” Weston-Webb said.

One claimed seven bars had been contaminated, another contained a bar contaminated with a pesticide and another threatened a Sydney organisation unconnected to Masterfoods.

Weston-Webb said the company was working with food authorities to determine when it was safe to restock.
