US foodservice marketer and distributor Sysco Corporation has announced that Michael S. Headrick has been named president and chief executive officer of Sysco Food Services of Raleigh, a broadline foodservice distribution subsidiary that will open in Raleigh, North Carolina in the autumn of 2005.

Headrick, who currently serves as president and chief executive officer of SYSCO’s Jackson, Mississippi operation, will assume his new duties on July 3, 2005, the start of SYSCO’s fiscal year.
Sysco Food Services of Raleigh will provide products and services to foodservice operations including restaurants, country clubs, healthcare and educational institutions, business and industry locations, lodging establishments, multi-unit chain accounts and other foodservice operations throughout eastern North Carolina.
The company also announced that George A. Futris had been named president and chief operating officer of Sysco Food Services of Jackson, LLC, a broadline foodservice distribution subsidiary located in Jackson, Mississippi.
