The seafood group stressed that Humphreys was going to a non-seafood related company, and would remain with American Seafoods until 3 November 2006. The search for a successor has already been initiated, the company added.

Bernt O. Bodal, American Seafoods’ CEO, paid tribute to Humphreys’ contribution to the company’s success over the past 11 years. “Amy joined American Seafoods in 1995 and has contributed greatly to the growth and success of this organisation,” he said. “Amy has been an integral part of developing our internal financial capabilities and leading our growth initiatives. She now has an opportunity to further expand her professional experience. We will miss her and know that she will continue her outstanding track record in her new ventures.”
