Metcash also said that it had been in constructive discussion with Foodland over the course of the past week. These discussions have focussed on progressing Metcash’s current offer as well as considering other structural alternatives in relation to the acquisition of Foodland Australia, it said.


Metcash anticipates these discussions will lead to agreement in principle over the coming week, it said.
