A man has been arrested in connection with alleged threats made against a United Biscuits plant in Glasgow, according to the BBC.

The man is in custody and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal, the official responsible for prosecutions in Scotland, the broadcaster said.


A letter threatening to contaminate biscuits was sent to the plant, which makes McVitie’s biscuits, including the Rich Tea and Hobnobs brands, triggering a forensic investigation of the factory which employs 750 people.
