Strauss-Elite’s snack food plant in Sderot in the Western Negev in Israel is now operating normally despite being hit by a Qassam missile this week, the company has said.

The Sderot plant, which employs 130 people, makes Tapuchips and Shosh snacks, turning over NIS250m to NIS300m (US$56.66m to $66.16m) a year.
Strauss-Elite CEO Erez Vigodman said that the company’s plants in the Katyusha missile range in the north are producing to meet the demand. These include factories in Safed, Nazaterh and Carmiel. Hezbollah missiles have hit these towns for the last two weeks.
