DeNunzio will leave the company within a few weeks for a role with Dutch non-food retailer Vendex, Asda spokeswoman Rachel Fellowes told just-food. “He’s going to be around for a while,” she said. “There will be quite a thoughtful process to find a replacement.”
“We are very proud of the Asda organisation and its tremendous success,” said John Menzer, president and CEO of Wal-Mart International in a statement. “Asda is an extremely strong company and has a superb management team with the depth and expertise to continue our growth into the future.”
John Menzer said Wal-Mart was greatly appreciative of Tony’s contribution to the company during his 12 years at Asda.
