Kellogg’s Special K20 Protein Waters, Special K Protein Snack Bars and Special K Protein Meal Bars, will be released under the cereal company’s new Health & Wellness Division during November. The new products are in addition to Kellogg Special K cereals, cereal bars and snack bites.


“Consumers have told us Special K cereal, cereal bars and snacks are important to them for breakfast and snacking,” said Mark Baynes, senior vice president, marketing, Morning Foods Division, Kellogg Company. “These new, protein-fortified Special K products can help consumers stay on track throughout the day as they pursue their shape-management programs.”


Special K20 Protein Waters come in Strawberry Kiwi, Lemon Twist and Tropical Blend flavours, for a suggested retail price of $5.99 for four 16-ounce bottles.The Protein Meal Bars are available in Chocolate Peanut Butter, Double Chocolate and Strawberry, retailing at $5.98 for a box of six bars, or $1.29 for an individual bar, and Protein Snack Bars in Chocolate Peanut and Chocolate Delight, with a retail price of $3.99 for a box of six bars, or $.89 for an individual bar.


“Retail acceptance of our new products for the pharmacy aisle of grocery stores and the diet and nutrition aisles of drug stores has been extremely positive,” said Baynes. “The new products complement and extend the equity of the Special K brand, and will offer consumers more options to help achieve their weight management goals.”
