The United Arab Emirates’ government has ended the country’s four-month long ban on French poultry products – introduced in February amid bird flu fears within the European nation.

A Dubai Municipality official last night (18 June) announced the decision, based on a recommendation from the federal veterinarian control committee, reported Dow Jones citing Emirates news agency, WAM.


The country also banned poultry from Iran, Egypt, Iraq, Cyprus and Nigeria four-months ago, but has only eased up limitations on France at this point.
