At the first round of negotiations with Seoul in Geneva, EFTA (representing Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) made significant progress on trade liberalisation for agricultural and fish (and crustacean) goods.

The next round of talks take place in South Korea in April, with the Europeans predicting final agreement this year. The Tunisian deal covers fish and processed agricultural products and is expected to come into force on 1 June. It was the result of negotiations launched in 1996.
