Tesco will employ 770 staff in India and buy more goods there, PA reported. Tesco’s director for international operations Philip Clarke confirmed that the Bangalore office will develop software to handle operations and manage some financial transactions.
The move will not lead to redundancies in the UK, Clarke said. Last year Tesco said it would move some IT jobs out of the UK.
