HJ Heinz Company has today (29 March) announced new geographic assignments for two executive vice presidents (EVP) as from 4 May for the beginning of the company’s fiscal 2007.

Joseph Jimenez will become EVP, president and CEO for Heinz’s operations in Asia Pacific and rest of world, with responsibility for business units in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.

Scott O’Hara, currently EVP for Heinz Asia Pacific and Canada, will replace Jimenez as EVP, president and CEO for Heinz Europe, having joined Heinz at the turn of the year from an executive position in Europe at Gillette Group International.

Additionally, Christopher Warmoth is being promoted into the newly created position of senior vice president for Heinz Asia. Warmoth will relocate to Shanghai and assumes responsibility for Heinz operations in China, Indonesia, India and Japan. He formerly served as director of Central European & Middle East markets for The Coca-Cola Company.

Heinz chairman, president and CEO, William Johnson, said: “With the sustained success of our North American businesses, the repositioning of Heinz Europe, and faster growth in the Asia Pacific markets, this strong leadership team will drive the Heinz Growth Strategy to increase sales and profits in the three categories of Ketchup & Sauces, Meals & Snacks, and Infant Nutrition.”
