Alfa Laval has signed an agreement to acquire the Fruit Preparation activity from Tetra Pak.

Tetra Pak has for some years been Alfa Laval’s channel to the fruit preparation market, selling Alfa Laval separation, heat transfer and fluid handling equipment. The agreement means that Alfa Laval from first of February 2006 will penetrate this market through its own sales companies, including aftermarket activities.

The acquired activity involves less than 10 employees and an annual sale of about SEK 45m.

Tetra Laval is Alfa Laval’s largest shareholder.

Alfa Laval is a leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling market.
