San Miguel has taken full control of fruit processor and juicer Berri. San Miguel bought 50% of the company for AUS$167.5m(US$126.2m) in August and increased that soon after by an additional 1%.
It has now purchased the remaining stake through subsidiary National Foods for AUS$169m and will merge the businesses.
San Miguel outmanoeuvred New Zealand dairy co-op Fonterra to buy National Foods, Australia’s biggest dairy manufacturer, last year for AUS$1.9bn.
