Australian food company National Foods has reported positive sales volumes in the first two months of the year, attributed to milk sales in route, juice and yogurt in groceries, and bulk cream and cheese sales in new areas.

National Foods, which became a subsidiary of food, beverage, and packaging company San Miguel Corp last year, posted a year-to-date net sales growth of 6%, at AUD$268m (US$196.638m).
Overall volume growth was 4.3% for the period, with growth reported across principal products including milk, yoghurt and juice. Exports, cheese and gourmet foods, and other specialty products grew in excess of 30% from a lower base.
