Alliant Foodservice, Inc., a subsidiary of Alliant Exchange, Inc. and one of the nation’s largest broadline distributors, has signed a long-term agreement to continue as primary supplier to 76 of the 150-plus nationwide units of longtime customer Houlihan’s Restaurant Group of Kansas City, Missouri.

The agreement is expected to initially generate $50 million or more of annual revenues for Alliant, and will involve 16 of Alliant’s 44 distribution and food processing centers.

“This agreement is a continuation of a more than 20-year relationship,” said Steve Patterson, vice president, national sales for Alliant. “With the launch of AlliantLink.com(TM) and its many value-added services, Alliant’s new Operational Excellence program, our warehouse network expansion and our substantial technology investments, we are in a better position than ever before to help these popular restaurants run their operations more efficiently and profitably.”

Houlihan’s Restaurant Group, based in Kansas City, Missouri, was a pioneer in the full-service casual dining industry. Established in 1972, the privately owned company is the developer and owner more than 150 restaurants from coast to coast including Houlihan’s, The Bristol Bar & Grill, Chequer’s, J. Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steaks, Darryl’s and others.
