Melbourne-based Snack Foods has revealed a 3.7% increase in sales revenue to A$146.9m (US$75.7m) for the first half.

Earnings per share rose 9.9%, from 4.84 cents to 5.32 cents, on sales that the company explained reflected healthy growth in its core business of salty snack brands, including Thins chips.


Moving forward into the second half, Snack Foods said that some underperforming biscuit lines had been dropped to enable biscuit sales to improve. A new range with several new varieties is currently being introduced to the Australian market.
