Nash Finch Company, a Minneapolis-based food retailer and distributor, announced today the grand opening of a new 65,000-sq.-ft. Econofoods replacement store at 2100 Edgewood Road SW in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This store joins a new store opened in Marshalltown, Iowa, in May, as well as three recently remodeled Econofoods stores in Dubuque, Iowa; Peru, Ill.; and Waterloo, Iowa.

This new Cedar Rapids Econofoods is a “Fresh Place” concept store that includes high-quality fresh produce, expanded deli and bakery offerings, Kids Korner (free in-store childcare), natural and organic foods, full-service meat and seafood, specialty and ethnic departments, pharmacy, exclusive signature products available only at NFC stores and excellent customer service.

“We continue to focus on strengthening and expanding NFC’s retail business, as well as on providing customers with an outstanding shopping experience in every community in which we operate,” said Ron Marshall, president and CEO. “Community involvement is also something we take pride in and, along with Pillsbury, are pleased to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.”
