Timber Lodge Steakhouse, a St. Louis Park-based company that opened its first restaurant in Burnsville, Minn. in 1991, will have 26 locations in seven states by year-end. The four newest locations that have either opened recently or will open soon include:

  • Owatonna, Minn. — Opened September 28
  • Stillwater, Minn. — Opened October 12
  • Maple Grove, Minn. — Opening by year end
  • Fargo, North Dakota — Opening by year end

“We’re experiencing some rapid growth right now, jumping from 22 to 26 restaurants in less than three months,” said Timber Lodge president and founding partner Peter Bedzyk. “We’re opening three new restaurants in Minnesota this fall, bringing our total here to 15. Plus, we found ourselves with a great opportunity in Fargo that we didn’t want to pass up. This will be our first restaurant in North Dakota. It’s a very exciting time for the company.”

Bedzyk indicated that generally, the company has grown at a steady pace, adding approximately three restaurants each year. Future plans include continued growth in Minnesota, Arizona and surrounding states.

The original Timber Lodge Steakhouse concept of providing great food and great service in a comfortable “northwoods lodge” atmosphere continues to be extremely popular. “The atmosphere, food and friendliness all work together. Our customers value all three. There aren’t that many restaurants that prepare your food from scratch and have employees hand-pick the items used in the decor. That personal touch is reflected throughout our operation and it makes people feel comfortable,” explained Bedzyk.

Timber Lodge Steakhouse is a wholly owned subsidiary of Santa Barbara Restaurant Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBRG). For more information, visit the Web site at http://www.timberlodgesteakhouse.com
