Food manufacturers in the Philippines are touring 150 selected private grade schools throughout Metro Manila with a puppet show designed to convey the importance of drinking milk.
The initiative has been welcomed by school principles. Lourdes Ligot, director of the Children’s Village Education Center in Marikina, told Business World: “The puppet shows were very educational and entertaining […] We learned how to make artworks out of [milk] cartons.”
The shows, which are due to run until March, are sponsored by Tetra Pak Philippines. Nestlé Philippines and RFM Corp manufacturers are participating in the shows by giving out milk products for free. RFM has recently launched four new calcium-enriched flavours of Selecta Moo in 250ml packages.
