UK confectionery giant Cadbury has been slammed by the Food Commission for encouraging millions of children to increase its sweet treats with promotions that include text message competitions and online games.

The test message competition, said the Food Commission, is responsible for “undermining children’s nutrition”.


The Commission added that it believed parents are “being cut out of the relationship between their children and the confectionery manufacturers”.
